New Oak Island Metal Recycling Center has opened

Thanks to the Brunswick County school system's fabulous education on recycling, my family has become diligent in recycling and has found that instead of having a weekly trash can, over flowing, on the way to the dump, we now have one trash bag a week in the big trash can, and 3 bags of recycling headed to the convenience site.  Although it would be nice to have actual recycling pick up in the area we live in, I still take great pride in delivering my mass amount of recycling each week.

With that being said, you can imagine my excitement to see we have a new metal recycling center called OKI Recycling Center.  Here they will purchase scrap metal such as aluminum cans, radiators, copper, insulated wire and batteries. All you have to do is bring in your scrap metal, where they will weigh it and pay you for it.  An easy way to help clean up the environment and make a little money doing it!
The OKI Recycling Center is located just off Long Beach Road.
