Southport is Full of Activity!

One of the things I love most about this area is that there is always something going on!  Southport hosted another successful Wooden Boat Show this past weekend.  I absolutely loved seeing the boats driving through Southport.  We welcomed the Wounded Warriors last week with flags lining downtown, not to mention the American Flag hanging over the center of the street courtesy of our fire department in town.
Just as these events come to a close we are gearing up for the U.S. Open King Mackerel Tournament that is being held this coming weekend, October 5th and 6th.
There will be music and plenty of activity all weekend long!  Check out this website for a complete list of activity times.  http://www.usopenkmt.com/schedule.htm
See you down at the Southport Marina this weekend!

4th of July 2012.....take 2!

Did you miss the 4th of July Parade?  Well, come on down to the corner of Howe and E. Moore Streets tomorrow, August 8th, for another chance to celebrate.  The streamers are back up across the downtown streets creating that usual festival feel.
The Safe Haven movie will be filming their 4th of July Parade tomorrow and they need a crowd to watch the parade, so bring your family and friends!  Filming will then move to the Southport Community Building and the Garrison Lawn for an arts and craft fair.

While you are downtown walk over to our beautiful new listing at 202 N. Rhett Street!
